SB Challenge #3

I've made this card to enter into Simply Betty's Challenge #3, it's to use a sketch done by Cheri. YAY!
I had actually coloured this Rio Valentine image to use last week in Eulanda's Make it Classic (black & white) challenge, but life got away from me and I didn't manage to make the card for it, so I decided to use the image this week.
I'm loving the Emo Valentine images. They are so much fun to work with.
Cheers.

3 Cards in 1 Weekend

I can't believe it myself, but I somehow managed to put together 3 cards in 1 weekend. Now, to be honest, if I didn't procrastinate so bad, I wouldn't have had to get them all done in one weekend, but I seem to work better under pressure....well, that's what I'm telling myself.
I'm not happy with the pictures I'm posting. I really need to figure out the best way to take pictures of my cards.....I try flash, and no flash, Ottlite above, natural light...but they're not working for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The first card was a birthday card for my cousin. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.....
And inside sentiment is Skipping Stones Design with wine bottle/cheese stamps by Amuse.

The next cards were for my twin neice and nephew's 6th birthday. I used an image from Lil Lolita (80's Sookie) for my niece's card. She's quite the little Diva and loves to entertain, so I knew this was perfect for her.
And the last card was made using another Mo Manning image (video boy). A perfect fit for my video game loving nephew.

Resolutions

I've never been one to make New Years resolutions....likely because I know how hard they are to keep, but this year I decided I'm going to try and make more time for myself.... to do the things I enjoy...yes, making cards and scrapbooking, but other things too.....Work less and play more....that's what I resolve to do!

Now, my first card of the year is one I did for my sister-in-law. Her New Years resolution was to quit smoking, and I am so proud of her, so far so good. I'm an ex-smoker and know first hand how hard it is to quit. I was having alot of trouble coming up with ideas for a card....everything was all too cutesy, and knowing the withdrawls my SIL was going through, cutesy wasn't going to cut it. I called Cheri to help me out with it, she too knew what Mel would be going through, and she suggested the great image (Lilith the Vampire from Lil Loita), and that perfect sentiment (Tiddly Inks).

Now....I'm off to bed.....I think I should have resolved to start going to bed earlier....nah... would have already broke that resolution LOL!
